About Me

In April, 2007, I got back into kite flying. Two things happened at about the same time, I interviewed the guys from KiteShip for my Alameda Project, and my Dad sent me a link to some information on KAP.

This fit in very nicely with some of the shots I was thinking about needing for the Alameda Project, as well as my gadgetophile nature. KAP involves a lot of interesting little components, a lot of patience, and a dash of luck. I seem to have all of that.

I’m a native of Louisville, KY, and have been flying kites since I was probably 10. My dad and I got into stunt kites. I still have a bag of 1, 2, and 4 line kites. They’re all too small for lifting a camera, so I built my own.

I’ve been mostly flying in and around Alameda, CA, but venturing out places that I visit.
